Overview

Welcome to my tremendously illustrious Engineering Honors Portfolio! Here you can see the rough course of my 4 years in college: learning, love, loss, and an entire pandemic; winding, chaotic, and exhilarating beyond all expectation.

The aim of this portfolio is twofold; it’s both to provide readers a general overview of who I am and what I’ve done, and also to provide current EHP students with a sense of what’s possible. As Merton says, the function of the university is to help humans save their souls, and in doing so, save their society. Looking back on these 4 years, I feel that my soul is in relatively good hands, and I hope I can help illuminate one of the many possible paths to a continuing Mertonian salvation and “validation of your offering”, as we say.

Organization

This portfolio is organized into several parts:

• My Philosophy of Education outlines what I hoped at the end of my freshman year to get out of college, as well as how it had changed by graduation.
• The Works section contains my senior-year work in computer science and finance, containing both my internship at Catfund and my research project on risk stability.
• The Classwork section contains some particularly fun projects, including projects in AI/data science, interesting writings/papers (both professional and more academic), and some musical undertakings.
• The Abroad in Brussels section contains some thoughts on my trip to Brussels to study EU policy-making, as well as a related paper on the EU’s AI policy.
